The color is not even close to what the picture shows. It is lighter and the same color as other popular brands of purple that I already own. I was hoping for the deeper royal purple the picture shows. The filament quality is fine though.

We're sorry the color didn't meet your expectations. The spool you received was the correct Amethyst Purple filament that was ordered. We do our best to represent our filament colors as accurately as possible, but colors can appear differently depending on screen settings, lighting, camera exposure, and individual perception. It sounds like what you are looking for is our Purple PLA+, it is a much darker shade of Purple, and closer to what I would call a Royal Purple.
