New to 3d printing so it was nice to have a filament that worked right out of the bag. Plus I love that it’s made locally.
This is the best and brightest pink filament that I have purchased, no contest. It's super bright and stands out. I print clips for my job so that workers are able to see the last location they were in and the pink sticks out wonderfully. The clips are held together with rubber bands and unless someone is being too forceful, the PLA can withstand the forces from everyday use. The pink clips are always a hit at work and is a preferred color among my coworkers, everybody loves them.
Never had any issues with bed adhesion, stringing, burning, or dialing in any settings. I just used my regular PLA profile and never had any issues with layer adhesion either. It honestly prints like a dream. The filament does have a dry feeling and does tend to snap if you're trying to straighten it to push it into a direct drive setup but once you get used to it it's a non-issue, you just gotta be a little more careful than with other filaments. This isn't an issue that's just with this color as I have also used their teal PLA+ and it does the same thing.
My only issue and what prevents me from buying this filament, or any filaments from AF more often is the plastic spools. I try to do my best to avoid using any filament that doesn't have a cardboard spool to help limit my waste. I can go through this filament pretty quickly so that's a lot of waste on my end. If AF had spool refills or used cardboard I'd be all over it. I haven't been able to find a pink that is as vibrant as AFs so I hope they give the option of cardboard or master refills in the future.
For the quality and ease of printing the price is definitely worth it! And supporting an American company is tops too.
