American Filament’s Matte Black filament has quickly become one of my go-to materials for high-quality prints. The matte finish is outstanding—it hides layer lines extremely well and gives prints a clean, professional, almost injection-molded look.

Printing performance has been rock solid. The filament feeds smoothly, with consistent diameter and no tangling on the spool. Adhesion is great on both textured and smooth build plates, and I’ve had zero issues with warping or inconsistent extrusion. Overhangs and fine details come out crisp, and the matte surface reduces glare, making details stand out beautifully.

I also appreciate how forgiving this filament is across different print settings. It performs well at standard PLA temperatures and doesn’t require any special tuning to get excellent results. to getting the perfect settings for the prints. :)

This PCTG filament met all my expectations. Loaded the filament into my P1S with no drying, imported the Bambu profile provided by American Filament and this stuff just prints. The only change I made was to adjust the shrinkage to 99.4% and I am getting accurate tolerances for fitted parts. The finish is also pretty nice.

I love the Lithophane Maker Desktop! I have made a few different lamps now and love them. The only thing I would request is that the preview screen had a "homing" selection. Once I rotate the image to look at it at all angles, I can't get it back to the original starting point. Otherwise, I really like the ease of use and the quality of the files it creates! Thank you so much!

Made great looking lithophanes. I have made seven so far.

This stuff is great! Did some initial prints with the Bambu profiles AF provides, and they came out pretty good. I ran some calibration, did some fine tuning, and thoroughly dried the filament and got amazing results. Bed adhesion was fantastic, final surfaces were smooth and not much stringing. I will definitely get more of this stuff!

Any filament that I get from a American filament has not disappointed me at all. Always high-quality and the information is directly on point.

Tried PCTG from a few different manufacturers, and this one is my favorite. So far has excellent heat & UV resistance, held up better than PETG, and love how it prints. Dry it well before printing the first time and the stuff does awesome. Definitely recommended!
