Let customers speak for us
from 583 reviewsI was skeptical of this but it ran great without any failures. I’m sure every batch is different, based on the description, but mine came in all white and didn’t clog any of my machines.
I’m not sure if I would buy it again, the price was 9 dollars when combined with other spools before. But it did everything it was meant to do so 5 stars.
Love the color and it prints great.
This material was great. I can make sporting gooda that need a stiff but ductile outer surface with it. I had zero feed or finish issues and the new spools fit great in my AMS.
I’m really glad I can tell my customers that their products and even their materials are made in the USA.
Just like any other PCTG Filament. But the key factors are made in America, printer profile makes a world of difference. No drying for printing which put my old AMS back in use. Thanks
This was my first roll of PCTG. It took a bit of set up but im fairly new to 3d printing so im sure some one more familiar with set up wouldn't have near the time invested. After i got it dialed in though this stuff has been amazing. It prints well, it holds up the the abuse on my RC dirt car and it has a nice shine to it. I run my plate at 60C and my nozzle at 260-265 with a travel speed of 40 mm/s. So far so good.
This filament is wonderful. So smooth and definitely is a beautiful finished product. I would reccomend to anyone wanting to complete lithophane objects.
1st run with PCTG.
Impressive!
I put this on myrack a couple of weeks back and forgot about it while using up other material, you know how it goes. Up popped a project, wasn't really a yellow project, and I thought " can't learn it if you don't try it", box got opened and into service it went.
Didn't dry it (I KNOW, I KNOW! cut me slack, I didn't plan ahead), just dropped it in and went. Generic profile but bumped bed temp to 80, 230 nozzle, added a brim and hit go. Zero issues and the yellow! WOW! You can definitely see this in low light.
No issues
I've used a few kinds of PCTG now, and AF has given me the most consistent results with the least amount of defects. It's by far my favorite, and my goto for functional parts.
Great filament and super nice folks!
Hi! I love this software. I would appreciate it if you could provide a configuration for the Anycubic Slicer, specifically for the Kobra X. This would allow me to share my work with the Kobra X social media community, which would likely encourage others to buy your software as well. It’s a win-win!
Arrived on time, package well sealed and reasonably dry. Prints so much better than PETG - great for functional prints.
Great filament. Glad I tried and I will buy again. Plus it's made right here in Alabama so I can support local businesses.
The Obsidian Black PCTG Filament, made by American Filaments is one of the best alternatives to PETG. I had some trouble printing at first, but when I dialed in my slicer's settings, I'm printing it almost perfectly now.
I would definitely give their PCTG a try again!
Really good filament.
I get great model out of this. The surface finish, especially at .12 or smaller is nice; smoother than "matte" but not shiny like some. I've not had issues with needing to overly dry the filament either. I do keep it dry, but I do not leave it in a dryer for something like 12 hours before any print. BBLSupport for PLA/PETG seems to work very well and separates cleanly.
I use AF Classic lithophane white for all my lithophanes. I like the color. Other makes have bluish tint or yellow tint.
